Beginners Stained Glass Class - Spring 2012.
Two formats (evenings or Saturdays)
- Seven sessions of 2 hours each on Thursday evenings
Dates: Jan. 19, 26 : Feb. 2, 9, 16 & 23 and Mar.1/ 2012 - Three Saturdays of 4.5 hrs. each
9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m with a ½ hr. lunch break. Bring a brown bag lunch.
Course Cost: $100.00 plus supplies.

Course Description: Students will learn the copper foil method of assembling stained glass items. Three projects, two flat pieces and one three dimensional, will be made during the course of seven sessions.
Scheduled 'shop time' for 'drop in sessions'.
These sessions are designed exclusively for existing students who have projects on the go and want extra class time to work in a shop environment (perhaps to use the shop tools and get some instructor assistance). These sessions are scheduled for the last Tuesday of every month (unless otherwise posted). They run from 7:00 to 9:00 and a Drop In fee of $10.00 is charged. The dates for the balance of this year are: May 31, June 28, July 26, Aug. 30, Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 29. (No Dec. session). Please call before coming to ensure the session is on and there is room.
Drop In sessions are also scheduled for the third Saturday of each month (unless otherwise posted (*)). These sessions run from 9:30 to 12:30 and a Drop In fee of $15.00 is charged. The dates for the first half of the year are: Jan 31, Feb 28, Mar 27, Apr 24, May 29, June 26. Please call before coming to ensure the session is on and there is room.

Stepping Stones
Date: Saturday, April 7, 2012 - 9:30 am. -12:30 pm. Coffee will be on – bring a snack for a break.
Course cost: $85.00 - use of studio tools and all supplies are included.
Location: Glass Puffin Studio, No. 18 - 2842 Whatcom Road, Abbotsford.

Project: Create a 14" diameter stone with a mosaic design. These visual delights will brighten your garden
path or entrance way. These stepping stones can also be used for patio tables. (Wrought iron tables are
available for purchase). Glass cutting skills required as a prerequisite for this class.
Half Day “Hot” Glass Introduction
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30pm. Coffee will be on, bring a snack for a break. Kiln firings overnight with product ready for pickup another day.
Date: Sat.,January 28, 2012 - Coaster Set (4) and Jewelry creations (a pendant w/ earrings)
Date: Sat., Februaru 25, 2012 - Zebra pattern platter (great for sushi display)
Date: Sat., March 31, 2012 - Your choice from previous sessions or a more advanced project.
Course Cost: $60.00 – includes all supplies and kiln firings
